Things to Consider
Acceptance into California Coast Bible College will be determined by your application, transcripts, references, an interview (if applicable), and the prayerful consideration of our pastoral team.
California Coast Bible College (CCBC) admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally made available to students at the school. CCBC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, or any other basis prohibited by federal and state law, in administration of its admission policies, financial aid programs, educational policies, and other school-administered programs.
Timing: Three main factors contribute toward determining whether this is the right time for you to be a student:
1. Spiritual Authority: We want to know that the spiritual authorities in your life (parents, pastors, and mentors) all agree that this is the right training environment for you at this time.
2. Personal Life: Spiritual maturity and preparedness are key factors in determining your entrance into this program. In order to be considered for acceptance, your commitment to spiritual disciplines and involvement in a local church over the past six months will be examined.
3. Finances: You must demonstrate financial stability in order to be considered as a student. Students are not permitted to work full-time jobs. Students may work part-time (limited to 20 hours per week) as long as it does not interfere with the CCBC schedule.
1. Complete the Application
Fill out the online portion of the California Coast Bible College application completely and submit it. Please take the time to read and complete all questions and denoted fields. All applications and recommendations must be received no later than July 1st. There will be a $25 late fee incurred for applications received on or after June 1st. Please contact our offices for questions regarding late applications.
2. Follow up with References
Follow up to make sure the people you sent your pastoral and parent/guardian recommendation forms to received them and have completed and submitted them. We cannot process your acceptance until we receive all required recommendation forms.
Parental or Guardian Recommendation: Have your Parents/Guardian complete the online Parental Recommendation Form (for applicants to whom this does not apply, please contact our offices for further instructions on references). Applicants 21 years or older may opt to have an employer complete a recommendation in lieu of the parental form.
3. Request Official Transcripts
California Coast Bible College students are expected to be high school graduates or to have successfully completed the High School Equivalency Exam (G.E.D.) prior to enrollment. In order to be accepted as a student you must submit an official sealed high school, GED, or college transcript to our offices along with your application. Transcripts may be mailed directly from your educational institution to: California Coast Bible College, Attn: Admissions 6360 Telephone Road Ventura, CA 93003. If you have completed multiple schools, we only need the transcript from your most recent schooling (highschool or college).
4. Apply for a Passport
All CCBC students are required to participate in one of our annual, staff directed mission trips in order to successfully complete the program. Our "local" missions, covered in the price of tuition, may include Mexico. As our destinations require a passport for the purpose of travel, all students must apply for or have already obtained and possess proof of a valid passport before finalizing enrollment in CCBC.
