For more than 6 years, California Coast Bible College strives to provide the best personal and ministry training possible. We hol to a set of common core values that shape our educational objectives and commit us to continually raise the academic and developmental bar. As a result, we offer the benefit of receiving a degree from the State of California
Degree Granting Status
California Coast Bible College has been granted exempt status by the State of California to offer a theological ministry degree at the associate level. Currently, the school offers an Associate of Theology degree for students who successfully complete two years of study and earn 64 credits.
The California Department of Education has determined that California Coast Bible College qualifies for religious exempt status from the Degree-Granting Institutions Act for the Associate of Theology (A.Th.) degree.
The CDE makes no evaluation of the administration, faculty, business practices, financial condition or quality of the offerings by this institution.
California Coast Bible College serves under the leadership of the governing body of elders at The City Church Ventura. This unique relationship between the college and the local church has been the basis for its strength and effectiveness. Currently the appropriate accrediting associations do not make sufficient provision for local church governed colleges, thus CCBC has not been able to pursue accreditation. It is however committed to instructional and academic excellence.
All courses and a degree from California Coast Bible College is fully transferable to Portland Bible College. CCBC curriculum was primarily birthed out of Portland Bible College and for several years CCBC functioned as an extension campus of PBC. Many CCBC students have taken their CCBC degree and transferred to PBC to continue their education either on campus or online. PBC offers most of its degrees online at a very affordable price (portlandbiblecollege.org)!
